How does it work
We provide personalized one-on-one assistance for families that feel like they need a little extra assistance with the process. We don’t do the work for the student, we don’t take the place of the family or the school’s admissions counselor, and we don’t make any promises about admissions. UAS provides a helping hand in a stressful process.
When is the right time to start?
At the beginning of the HS. We offer two packages:
Help identify IB/AP courses
Correlate IB/AP course selection with
university majors and possible careers. Knowing what you would like to study later on is one of the biggest challenges. Choosing right IB/AP courses is of a crucial importance.
Summer projects and programs
We will work with you to identify possibilities for summer projects and programs.
Help compile an extracurricular resume
Schools will ask you to show, in some manner, a resume of your extracurricular experiences. We’ll help you pull together a list that reflects your amazing accomplishments!
Help setting up one-on-one interviews
We help you set up one-on-one interviews with University Admission Recruiters visiting Barcelona. University fairs are great, but a personal interview will allow you to really explore your options.
Help with on-line application process
We’ll help you understand what the UCAS, Common App and Canadian online applications look like ahead of time, so you’ll be prepared when you sit down at the computer.
Help you identify your strengths and weaknesses
We will help you identify your strengths and weaknesses as a learner and discuss ways to accentuate the positive.
Explore majors and career interests
Not really sure what you want to study or even be? We’ll help you explore careers and majors that match up to your interests.
Evaluate transcript and scores
By looking at your academic transcript and standardized test scores, we can help you understand the most appropriate university selectivity category for you.
Explain admissions criteria
We’ll help you understand how selective a school is by looking carefully at the university’s own published metrics.
Proof-read essays
Your essays introduce the “Real You” to the university. While we won’t write them (or even re-write them) for you, we’ll provide some timely feedback and final proof-reading. We contracted an outside expert for proof-reading of essays and personal statement.
